Installing the CD:
* Place the CD into your CD drawer and close it
* Click on the Start Button, and select RUN
* The RUN dialog box opens and you now need to select your CD and find the Setup file. In this example Z: represents your CD drive designation. You must replace it with your own CD drive designation. Add this to the beginning of the line \NFWIN98\DISK1\SETUP
Note: If you do not know how to do this please follow the instructions in the next section, under 'Finding SETUP', otherwise skip to 'Running SETUP'
Finding SETUP
* First click on the Browse button on the lower
right of the RUN dialog box.
* Bring down the pull down list at the top of
the Browse dialog box, by clicking on the down arrow at the right
of the entry field.
* Find your CD drive designation and click on
it.
* This will show the NFWIN98 folder on the CD.
Select it and click on OPEN.
* You will now see the three folders for the Disk images
on the CD. Select DISK1 and click on OPEN.
* You will now see the Icon for SETUP, select
it and click on OPEN.
Running SETUP
* The RUN dialog box now has the correct instruction
line for the file to run on the CD to install the software. It should show
the drive designation for your CD, ie: D:, E:, etc.., with the following:
\NFWIN98\DISK1\SETUP . If it does click on OK. It will take
a few second and then the Install Shield window will appear.
* You are now presented with a dialog box asking for
the desired folder for the application. Do Not change this! Simply
click on Continue.
* Again you are presented with a dialog box asking a
desired folder. Do Not change this either! Again simply click on
Continue.
* SETUP is now prepared to install the application.
You may continue by clicking on Install or cancel by clicking on
Cancel.
* The install procedure begins after you clicked on Install.
This screen tells you that files a re being processed and the speedometer
displays the % of completion. You need do nothing here just wait for the
install to complete.
* When the install is complete this box will appear informing
you so. Press OK to return to the Windows Desktop.
* On your desktop will be the Adventures In Names group
window. You may drag the Adventures In Names Icon to your desktop if you
desire.
