Sneak Peak # 5 (08/24/2000)

Celtic Birth Amulet, carried or worn like our Rabbits Foot of today.
Celtic Birth Token

The Certificate of Authenticity
Some of these symbols and even cultures may not be familiar to your customers. So even though it all sounds very interesting to them, they do not know what it means after they buy a Document.  In order to cover this each product will also have a Certificate of Authenticity which will explain each of the birth legends in a little detail. These are generic explanations of each section of the document and will be provided with each item sold.  In the future an expanded or "Long" version can be printed and sold.  This "Long version" will have more detail specific to the legends for the individual.

Here are example excerpts for the section about the individuals Celtic Tree Month.  The document would read something like this:  Her Celtic Tree is "Duir" (Oak), "The Celestial Tree of Power."

The Certificate of Authenticity Short Version, which goes with every product, would read like this:
Celtic Tree The Celts used a Lunar Year of thirteen Lunar Months, or Moons, corresponding
with the lumination cycles of the Moon. Being Duid in religion they worshiped nature and felt trees
held great power. Their Moons (Lunar Months) were named after the various trees of "power"
which they believed influenced those born under each. For example the Moon of Duir, the Oak Month.

Optional Long Version (customer buys this extra):
Her Celtic Tree is "Duir" (Oak), "The Celestial Tree of Power."
The Celts used a Lunar Year of thirteen Lunar Months, or Moons, corresponding with the lumination
cycles of the Moon. Being Duid in religion they worshiped nature and felt trees held great power.
Their Moons (Lunar Months) were named after the various trees of "power" which they believed
influenced those born under each. For example the Moon of Duir, the Oak Month.

"Duir" is Irish Gaelic for the Oak. The Oak deity was Daghda, the "good Father God". The Old
Irish spelling of his name was is pronounced "Dada" for Father.  Still today, in many Western
countries, Father's Day falls in the month of Duir.  Duir is the root of our word Door, since a
door was made of an Oak.  The Moon of Duir is the Doorway to the second half of the year,
providing new opportunity. It was viewed much as we now see our New Year with it's resolutions.

"Like an Oak!"  Those born under the Moon of Duir, the seventh Lumination, were thought to
be influenced by the Oak "The Celestial Tree of Power", toward courage, strength, and independence.
To be enduring, immovable, sensible, and wise. As "The Tree of Truth" one would be honest and
resists corruption. In short, be as we now say "Solid as an Oak"
